The purpose of the page is show an area of the window containing a side area with a menu containing links and the main portion of the window with text. You will also note that the background color of the sidebar area, the text area and the window behind the text area are different colors. At the time of design the styling for the page as well as the content are all contained in the html file. As is the practice of this website I will move the styling to a separate css file called by the html file. This sidebar is of full height (100%) and always shown. The position, width, text color and background color are fixed and will be defined by the css file.
